Name: Macey Doss
Location: Frisco, Texas
DOD: Nov 24, 2015
Macey Leigh Doss, age 19, of Frisco, Texas passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2015. She was born on March 14, 1996 in Plano, Texas to Michelle (Weiss) Cherry and Timothy Doss.
A life-long resident of Frisco, Macey attended Centennial High School. She was a fun-loving, strong-willed free spirit who lived for the moment. Her creative nature was expressed through her love of music – particularly the Beatles and Nirvana – her frequently changing hair color, and her breathtakingly vivid body art.
A caring and sensitive soul, Macey loved animals and championed the underdog. Macey will always be remembered for her infectious smile and trademark bold eyeliner that accentuated her beautiful blue eyes. She was an extraordinary young woman who left us too soon.
Macey is survived by her mother, Michelle Cherry and her husband Eric of Frisco, Texas; father, Timothy Doss and his partner Angela Rustmann of Plano, Texas; and brother, Travis Doss of Frisco, Texas. She also is survived by grandparents Orville and Sally Weiss of Garland, Texas, Ray Doss of Dallas, Rory and Jeanine Cherry of Midlothian, Texas and Pamela and John Reeves of Pensacola, Florida. Macey also leaves aunts and uncles Jody and Keith Venturoni, David and Kathi Weiss, Rick and Paula Doss and Kristi Doss, as well as numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Dolly Doss. She also leaves us to join her beloved dog, Libby.
During Macey’s too-short life, she sometimes struggled to make the right choices. For the past several years, she has fought valiantly against addiction – a battle she continued to fight until her last days. Her family loved her and supported her as she struggled with an epidemic that has been so destructive to too many individuals and families in her age bracket. Now Macey, finally, is at rest.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation that will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the funeral home at 10:00 am. A private interment will follow.
Macey, you will forever be in our hearts. We will always love you and miss you.
