Ricky was the best at everything he did, being a dad, A best friend , a husband to Ashley & his favorite job he loved building bridges. I met Ricky when we were 12 & it was an instant connection from there. The loyalty he showed , the love he gave, the laughter that he had was so catchy u couldn’t help but laugh along with him. He had a heart that was of pure love, he honestly cared for all his family & friends with the love of a older brother. He would never let anyone throw dirt on your name no matter if you were dead wrong , nobody was going to talk bad about his people in front of him. The day I lost Ricky was the day my heart was ripped out of my chest & sent to heaven with him. I often find myself talking with him in the car , or if something happens I ask him if he saw that. Ricky is missed dearly & we all will forever keep him close with us in our hearts. I do hope that when they say “We will see our loved ones again” that it’s true, Honestly it’s the only thing getting me by day by day. Please don’t give up on your loved ones who are in active addiction & let them know they are loved! Ricky’s death could have been prevented if the person that was with him took him to the hospital instead of leaving him to die alone because he was scared of law enforcement trouble due to the situation. Please remember the good Samaritan law No questions asked when calling or bringing a overdose victim to the hospital, Help save a life….
