OBITUARY:
It is with great sorrow that the family of Merritt Norton announce the passing of their beloved son, brother and uncle. Merritt died on 1/24/2018 from an apparent accidental overdose of prescribed medications. He is survived and will be forever cherished by his father Patrick Norton, mother Debbie Norton, sister Kathryn Norton (Dana) and nephew Wesley. He is also survived by extended family including uncles, aunts, cousins, his paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother who always referred to Merritt as “my precious boy”. He will also be greatly missed by his cat ‘Luna’ who he cared for deeply. 

Merritt touched many others with his loving hearth over the course of his 32 years of life. Countless friends and acquaintances have shared memories of Merritt as a kind, caring, compassionate and gentle person. A celebration of Merritt’s life will be planned by his family. Memorial donations in honor of Merritt can made to local mental health or addiction recovery agencies.
