Marie Alana Prine was a beautiful girl: creative, smart, and funny. She loved adventure, and was passionate about animal and human rights. She was a loyal and deeply caring soul. She loved her family, friends, and animals – especially her cat Amani. Marie was born April 14, 2006. She passed away unexpectedly at the age of 15 from an accidental overdose, when she ingested a small amount of counterfeit oxycodone that actually contained a lethal dose of fentanyl. A viewing will be held at Macy and Sons Chapel in McMinnville on Wednesday, July 28, from 10am to 12pm.A funeral service will be at St. Peters Church in Newberg at 3 p.m later that same day. A “celebration of life” memorial service will be held at Yamhill Christian Church on an upcoming weekend in August. It will be outside under the trees; the date and time will be announced soon. Marie is survived by her parents, Mark Prine and Iyla Evans, and by her older sister, Emma, and her older brother, Sean.
