OBITUARY
WESTERLY – Bruce G. Algier Jr., 41, of Westerly, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017 at his home.
Bruce was a master sheet metal contractor and a passionate Patriots and Red Sox fan. In his youth, you could find him at the baseball field, beginning with Little League, with his father as his coach, after which he advanced to Babe Ruth League. He was an avid dirt bike rider for Team Yamaha and enjoyed many hours at the motocross track.
His big heart, ability to make people laugh, and beautiful smile will be remembered by all.
He is survived by his, son Colton Algier; his mother, Marietta O’Donnell; his father, Bruce Algier Sr. and wife, Angela; his sister, Corinn Algier Miner (Mark); his sister, Alisha Algier; Josh Longo (Jackie); his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Algier; his nieces and nephews, Devin, Jayce, Aurora and Zoe; and his uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Maurice and Josephine Longo; and his paternal grandfather, Louis Algier.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Relatives and friends are invited. Funeral service and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
