Schyler Tyrelle Keeney, 29, was called home on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. We lost our beautiful girl to an accidental heroin overdose after a long brave battle with addiction.
She was born July 21, 1988 in Findlay, Ohio to Hank and Sheri (Adams) Keeney. She is survived by her son: Tristan M. Keeney of McComb; parents: Hank Keeney of Orange Park, Florida and Sheri L. Keeney of McComb and brother: Shade R. Keeney of Toledo. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Melvin W. and Helen L. (Van Sickle) Dishong, Eldon S. Adams and James and Donna J. (Haines) Keeney.
Schyler was so much more than just her addiction. She was smart, sensitive and charming. Her smile could light up a room. She loved Hello Kitty and only if she could’ve seen herself the same way the rest of the world saw her, but she saw only darkness. We are comforted in the fact that she has finally found the peace in death that so eluded her in life.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. at the HARTLEY-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 370 Park Dr. S., McComb, Ohio 45858. Burial will follow in the McComb Union Cemetery. If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction please contact the Hancock County Alcohol Drug Addiction and Mental Health Service at 419-424-1985.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be gifted in Schyler’s honor to Triston Keeney Educational fund at any First Federal Bank.
